Ormiston Press is a small indie publishing company in Queensland, Australia.
It was over lunch, with writers I’d known for years, that I decided Ormiston Press needed to happen. There were too many great writers who needed a home for their stories. It’s not easy, getting published these days, so with my skills as a writer, editor, graphic designer and finance background, I developed Ormiston Press.
However, due to time constraints, family obligations and my own writing goals I have been unable to continue with my wonderful authors.
So here’s an update on where they’re at –
Shelley Russell Nolan – Winged Reaper, sequel to Lost Reaper, is published with Atlas Productions. Shelley lives in Rockhampton with her young family and is an avid reader and tweeter.
Sue-Ellen Pashley – has a children’s picture book coming out with Black Dog Books. Her first novel, Aquila, was published with Random Romance, and she has now published Streamer under her own name.
Cheryse Durrant – Creative Dragons, her creative writing tuition classes, has moved to Toowoomba with fabulous success. Her first novel, The Blood She Betrayed, was published with Clan Destine Press, and the much anticipated sequel is on its way.
Sandy Curtis – is still with Ormiston Press and is working on the sequel to Murder, Mayhem and Men On Pause. Sandy is a prolific author with her romantic suspense thrillers receiving fabulous reviews. First published by Pan Macmillan in 2001 with Dance with the Devil, Sandy has now written 11 novels, some of which are with Clan Destine Press. WriteFest Director for 11 years, a highly regarded workshop presenter and a busy grandmother.
It’s a special thing to see a writer when they learn they are about to become an author. That someone else loves their story as much as them. The smiles, the celebration, the undeniable glow. I’m lucky to have been a part of these author’s journeys.
Thanks for stopping by.
